Abstract: This paper presents a self-adaptive clustering fire detection algorithm incorporating multiple sensors. Signals from multiple sensors can be processed by this algorithm, fire and non-fire situations can be well distinguished. A Multi Sensor based Fire Detection(MSbFD) system using this algorithm is established and three fire parameters (ionic smoke density, optical smoke density and temperature)are adopted in the system. It's shown that this MSbFD system has good self-adaptive and self-learning capabilities as well as good fire detection capabilities and low false alarm behavior. It's also proved that this MSbFD system's performance may become better as long as it is used continuously.
